Karen Renee Coe Henthorne was granted her angel wings on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Lubbock, TX where she had resided since the summer of 2021. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel (807 Columbia) Stamford, TX with Harold Ludecke officiating.
Born in Stamford, TX on June 1, 1956, Karen was the daughter of Willie and Ramona Dobbins Coe. Ms. Henthorne worked at the Stamford Walmart for several years. She was a member of Trinity Church.
Karen spent her formative years in Stamford, TX where she graduated from high school in 1974.On May 6, 1991, Karen was united in marriage to Donald Henthorne in Stamford. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2015. Karen was a very good cook and enjoyed watching movies. She was lovingly known by her grandkids as “Gran”.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Coe, her husband, Donald Henthorne, grandparents, S.T. and Martha Dobbins, grandparents W.L. and Edith Coe, and uncle, Marvin Dobbins, 2 cousins, Beth Gibson Rumbaugh and Brenda Miller Reid and 1 aunt Lona Coe Cole.
Karen’s memories will be cherished by her parents, Raymond and Ramona Estill of Lubbock, TX; daughter Mikah Qualls and significant other Joe Flores of Lubbock; daughter, Stephanie Whittemore of Abilene, TX; brother, Brad Coe of Stamford, TX; three grandchildren, Cameron Poulton, Mallorie Renee Henthorn, and Cole Whittemore; one great grandchild, Arielle Renee Vidales and three aunts: Corrine Gibson, Ira Miller and Lois Turner and a multitude of friends.
