Martha Ellen Jordan

Martha Ellen Jordan, 73, of Stamford and formerly of Lueders, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 in Stamford. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Clear Fork Cemetery in Jones County, near Lueders, TX, with Rev. Dennis Huffaker officiating, and under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 until 7 p.m.

Martha Ellen Dodgen was born July 14, 1941, in Lueders, TX, to John and Margaret Petty Dodgen. She was raised in Lueders and attended school there. She was a lifetime resident of the area and worked for many years as a nutritionist at the Teakwood Manor Nursing Home in Stamford and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Lueders.

She is survived by 3 sons, Billy Jack Jordan and wife Angie of Burkburnett, TX, Frederick Jordan and wife Lucretia of Albany, TX, and Jerry Jordan and wife Donna of Cameron, TX, 1 daughter, Mary Sue Mahan and husband Jim of Breckenridge, TX, 5 sisters, Johnnie Beth Siegfred of Oklahoma, Anna Glass and Donna Freeman, both of Stamford, Millie Buntin of Lexington, TX, and Sue Penny, 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren with one on the way, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
