Pauline Baxter

Pauline Baxter, 86, of Stamford went to her home in heaven on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel in Stamford with John Greeson officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 until 7 p.m.
Pauline was born July 15, 1925 in Edinburg, TX to Guy Robert Martin and Mary Byas Martin. She moved to Freer, Texas as a child and was raised and educated there. She married Carroll Baxter July 12, 1957 in Sherman, Texas and to this union two children were born. The Baxter family moved to Stamford in 1966 as the owners and operators of Whites Auto Store for 20 years. Pauline was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stamford.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years, 1 step son, Buddy Baxter, 3 brothers, Richard Martin, Earl Martin, and her twin brother, Paul Martin, and 1 sister, Mary Elva Lane.
Pauline leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Sharon Simpson and husband Sammy of Rule, TX; one son John Martin Baxter and wife Carlene of Waco, TX; three grandchildren; Joshua Baxter, Craig Simpson and Kyle Simpson and wife Kalie Rae, three great grandchildren, Trent and Samantha Baxter and Kolt Simpson, two brothers, Melvin Byron Martin of Edna, TX and Ewel Mitchel Martin of Alice, TX.
