Zana Underwood was born on August 25, 1927 in Lueders, TX to pioneer family Luther and Willie (Cowen) Underwood. She was a 1943 graduate of Lueders High School.
Miss Zana Underwood was united in marriage to P.M. Davis on September 15, 1945 at the courthouse in Anson, TX, a union blessed with three children: Sam, Preston, and Karen.

Zana worked at the Lueders School cafeteria and Teakwood Manor for several years in their dietary departments.
Zana was preceded in death by her husband, P.M. Davis, her parents, Luther and Willie Underwood, a son, Sam Davis.
