Ysidoro Cedillo Moreno passed away at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas on November 13, 2020, at the age of 85, after contracting Covid-19.
Ysidoro will be laid to rest on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., during Graveside Services at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
Ysidoro was born in Stamford, Texas on April 4, 1935. Growing up he learned the trade of being a blacksmith from his father and always took pride in his work. He took his passion from crafting to a career at Beechcraft in Salina, KS, where he retired after 30 years. Ysidoro also had a passion for farming and spent numerous hours in his garden, either tending to it or just walking between the rows, enjoying its peace. He loved mariachi music and always had a desire to become a professional mariachi musician. In his spare time, he found enjoyment listening to mariachi music with his friends and family and watching old westerns on TV. Ysidoro always dreamt of returning to Mexico to recapture memories of time spent there during his youth. He loved to share his culture and history with family and friends. He was always very proud of his large family and enjoyed sharing stories about them.
Ysidoro is survived by his children, Ernestine Moreno Prante, Isidro Moreno, Patrick Moreno, Noel Moreno, Joe Moreno, Amanda Moreno Webster, Elizabeth Moreno Fitzgerald, Jessica Moreno McCunniff; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Isidra Moreno and Caroline Moreno, and his parents, Theodoro and Maria Moreno.
