Roy Daniel Moore Sr.

In loving memory of Roy Daniel Moore, Sr., a memorial service honoring his life will be held Friday, May 11, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel (807 S. Columbia) with Rev. Larry Archer officiating. Roy's wishes were to be cremated. Roy joined his beloved Linda at their eternal home early Tuesday morning, May 8, 2018.

Roy entered this world in Roby, Texas on January 5, 1944. He was the son of the late Eules and Thelma Martin Moore. He attended school in Wichita Falls, TX.

Roy drove trucks and owned and operated a mechanic shop in Stamford for over 35 years. He delivered Meals on Wheels for several years during the 90’s. His hobby was a love for classic cars, which included his 1967 Chevelle.

Roy married Linda Lou Gray on October 11, 1967. Linda preceded Roy in death on October 30, 2012.

Preceding Roy in death were his parents, his wife of 45 years, Linda, a sister, Fredna Corn and brother, Ronnie Hudgens.

Survivors include; son Roy D. “Daniel” Moore, Jr. (Jessica) Abilene, TX; 3 daughters Tammy Divins of Ft. Wayne, ID, Royce Lynn Bertsch (Carl) of Azle, TX and Leslie Estelle Carr (Ricky) of Granite Shoals, TX; 4 brothers, Steve Moore (Peggy), Mitchell Hudgens (Kay), James Moore, and Monroe Moore; 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
