Odell Griggs Jr.

Odell “Bucket” Griggs, Jr, 39, of Stamford, TX, died May 18, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born December 11, 1983, in Stamford, TX the son of Odell Griggs, Sr and Brenda (Franklin) Griggs. He attended Stamford schools and graduated from Stamford High School in 2002.

Odell was a lifetime resident of Stamford and by faith was a Baptist. He was a man who loved his family, enjoyed music, was always cooking, and watching football, especially his main team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Odell is survived by his parents Odell and Brenda Griggs of Stamford, TX; his significant other, Rafilita Segura of Stamford, TX; daughter Alyia Graciano of Jacksonville, TX; 2 stepdaughters, Raylene Villanueva, and Adrianna Young both of Stamford, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Erika and Larry Chandler of Guthrie, OK; his brother and sister-in-law, Stacy and Melanie Kilgore of Saginaw, TX; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Tankersley Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Church (220 E. McHarg) Stamford, TX with Rev. Donny Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
