Minnie Gomez Moody

Minnie Gomez Moody, 86, of Weatherford and formerly of Stamford passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. A Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Tankersley Funeral Home, 807 Columbia, Stamford, TX.  Graveside rites will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Minnie was born November 11, 1934 in Stamford, TX to David and Micaela Moreno Gomez. She resided in Stamford all of her life until 1987 when she moved to Weatherford TX. Minnie was employed as a nurse’s aide in the Weatherford nursing homes.  She was a member of the  Catholic church. Minnie had a deep love for her family, and loved to have a good time which included dancing.

Minnie is survived by 4 children, son and daughter-in-law, Albert Delacruz and Kathy of Fort Worth, daughter and son-in-law, Lydia Ramos and Ramon, son, Jesse Delacruz and son, Lupe Delacruz, all of Weatherford, TX, her sister Nora Ramirez of Anson, TX, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Amador Delacruz and William Moody, and 3 brothers, Frank Gomez, Jesse Gomez and John Gomez.
