Michael John Mcbride

Michael John McBride began his life on earth August 11, 1961, at Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George County Maryland. He was the son of Johnny Joe and Vera Coward McBride.

Mike, age 60, of Stamford, TX went to his glory in heaven on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Anson, TX. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Temple Baptist Church in Stamford, TX with Rev. Jesse Morton, and Dan McBride officiating. Arrangements are with Tankersley Funeral Home.

Mike graduated from Abilene High School in 1980 and attended college for a while before entering the work force. The work force took Mike on several ventures including: being a pastor, working for Callahan County as a maintenance employee and deputy sheriff, he owned and operated an asbestos company in Abilene, TX, was a surgical technician for Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, TX, and was a member and the assistant pastor for the Temple Baptist Church in Stamford, TX. Mike loved the Lord and serving God.

On April 23, 2011, Mike and La’Sonda Sunday were united in marriage, in Abilene, TX.

Mike was a jovial guy who loved to joke and kid around with everyone. He loved his family and cherished time with his grandkids hunting and fishing.

Mike is survived by his wife La’Sonda McBride of the home; daughter, Jennifer McBride of Abilene, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Devonne and Billy Hull of Brownwood, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Samantha McBride of Abilene, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Jill Hammack of Clovis, NM; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Debbie McBride of Graham, TX; brother Carl McBride of Merkel, TX; brother, Ron McBride of Colorado: sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Henry Geoff of Hawley, TX; sister, Michelle Beaumont of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren and one on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
