Michael Wayne Kittley

Michael Wayne Kittley was born June 2, 1966, in Stamford, Texas to Wayne and Andrea (Macias) Kittley. He lived his formative years in the Sagerton community. In 1983, he graduated from Rule High School, where he was known as “Pup Kittley”.

Michael worked in law enforcement as a jailer in the Winkler County Sheriff’s Department.

He married Elma Carrasco on October 30, 1986. Elma preceded Michael in death in 2010.

Michael’s life revolved around his children and being an outstanding “Pops” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Michael chose to live a simple, basic life while listening to his favorite Hair Metal Music. He was an avid sports fan, following wrestling, football and his beloved team, the Dallas Cowboys! Michael was a Catholic by faith.

Preceding Michael in death were his wife of 24 years, Elma and his parents, Wayne and Andrea Kittley.

Michael is survived by his children, Brandon (Viridiana) Carrasco of Odessa, Texas, Michael (Joelda) Kittley, and Brandi Kittley and fiancé Mike Suniga all of Midland, Texas; his fiancé, Laura Ingalls of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Daelyn, Mealy, Keyla, Haedynn, Ella, Isaac, Kelsey and Draven; great grandchildren, Milla and Theo; sisters, Sue Kittley, and Betty (Pete) Garcia all of Abilene, Texas, Martha Costello of Pioneer, Louisiana; brother, James (Dorothy) Kittley of Sweetwater, Texas; a host of other relatives and friends.

Michael, age 55, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in Abilene, Texas. Family and friends will gather for Visitation on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 6-7 p.m. at Tankersley Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with James Kittley officiating. Burial will in Fairview Cemetery at Sagerton, Texas under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
