Mary Ione Carlile

August 28, 1963 — July 18, 2023

Mary Ione Carlile, daughter of the late Charles Giblin and Shirley Lindsey was born August 28, 1963, in Sioux City, Iowa. As a child, Mary moved with her family to Las Vegas where she received her formal education, graduating from high school in 1981.

Mary moved to California where her first two children were born. She later relocated to Texas where she met the love of her life, Charlie Carlile. She was united in holy matrimony to Charlie on the 10th day of June in 2005. With this union Mary’s life was blessed with four bonus children, two of which she raised as her very own.

The Carlile Family established roots in Stamford, Texas where they made a home for their children. Mary was a bright people person who enjoyed working with the public. Shortly after arriving in Stamford, she went to work at Walmart and later at Aarons. Mary enjoyed being outdoors fishing and riding horses. Often you would probably catch her playing the “games” every now and again. Mary and Charlie were avid shuffleboard players at the local VFW, where she had many loyal friends. Mary loved spending time with family and being a “Nana”, but above all she loved to be right, she was NEVER wrong!

Mary was embraced in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family at her home on Tuesday evening, July 18, 2023, at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 20 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Charlene Calderon, and her stepdad, William Lindsey.

Mary is lovingly survived by her husband of 18 years, Charles Carlile; 6 children: Christina Martinez and fiancé, Joey Montgomery, Tony Martinez, Ethan Carlile, Mary Briawna Carlile and fiancé Joe Alaniz, Cody Carlile and Charlie Carlile; grandchildren: Memphis Harris, Jayden Alaniz, Isabelle Carlile and Eli Carlile; 2 sisters: Debbie Beltran and Peggy Mansell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family invites their friends to join them as they gather for a Memorial Service at the Trinity Church, Sunday, July 23rd at 3 p.m.
