Maria Esperanza Martinez

Maria “Hope” Martinez, 70, departed this life on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Anson General Hospital. Maria will be remembered with Memorial Services at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9 ^th at the Tankersley Funeral Home (807 Columbia) Stamford, TX. Chapel with        Rev. Jesse Morton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions social distancing and mask will be required during the memorial service.

Maria was born on March 16, 1950, to the union of Tony Rosas, Sr. and Guadalupe Gonzales Rosas in Alice, TX. She worked in food service at the Cliff House Restaurant in Stamford.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Hope Martinez of Stamford, TX; daughter, Nancy Ortiz Luna of San Antonio, TX; brother, Ernest Luna, Jr. of Stamford, TX; brother and sister-in-law Tony and Gail Rosas of Lago Vista, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Hector Longoria of Georgetown, TX; sister and brother-in-law Connie and Kelly Escobedo of Stamford, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Loraine and Michael Young of Stamford, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Mary Luna of Wichita Falls, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Rene Rosas of Abilene, TX; 3 grandchildren, Steven Cavazos, Diego Cavazos and Angelique Ontiveros; other relatives and friends.
