Linda Mae Lunceford Burns, 58, of Stamford, passed away on September 16, 2019 in Abilene.
Linda was born November 4, 1960 in Colorado City, Texas to Lloyd and Ruby Boyd Lunceford. She was raised in the Colorado City area and graduated high school there in 1978. She moved to Stamford in 1990. Linda married Cary Burns in Odessa, TX in 1990 and he preceded her in death in 2004.
Linda’s touched others’ lives through her work as a caregiver. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, caring for her grandchildren and was a devout Christian.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Whitley of Stamford, TX; 1 daughter, Whitley Burns and husband Manuel Aleman of Stamford, TX; 1 son, Ernest Stephens of Mineral Wells, TX; 4 sisters, Cathy Peterson of Abilene, TX, Judy Dunn of Midland, TX, Susie Lunceford of Rising Star, TX and Shirley Baker of Sweetwater , TX; 1 brother, Tommy Joe Baker of Alice, TX; and 3 grandchildren, Dallas, Jordan and Suebella.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Lunceford, her husband, Cary Burns, and 2 sisters, Vicky Lunceford and Debbie Thornton.
