Karen Evon Stiewert

Karen Evon Stiewert, 69, of Abilene and formerly of Knox City, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Abilene. Cremation services have been selected with Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford and a memorial graveside will be held at a later date.

Karen was born September 4, 1954 in Albany, Texas to Zana and Preston Davis. Karen went to school at Lueders-Avoca schools, graduating in 1973. After graduating Karen went to Hardin Simmons University and graduated with a masters degree and nursing certificate. Karen worked as a registered nurse and then completed her education as a nurse practitioner and opened her own family wellness clinic in Knox City.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Zana Davis, 1 brother Sam Davis, and 1 sister Linda Kathy Davis.

Survivors include two sons, David Stiewert and wife Chloe of Rochester, TX and Dennis Stiewert and wife Brandy of Stamford, 6 grandchildren, Casey, Jordan, Shelby, Woodrow, Brazos and Chevelle Stiewert and numerous nephews and great nephews.
