Jose Eusibio Baez

Jose E. Baez, 95, of Abilene and formerly of Stamford, passed away at his home in Abilene on Monday, October 15, 2018.
Rosary services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Tankersley Funeral Home.  A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating.  Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
Jose was born December 17, 1922 in SLP-Mexico to Senobio and Tiburcia Baez.  He married Simona Pecina on January 27, 1939 in St. Luiz, Mexico.
Jose lived in Stamford many years, moving to Abilene after his wife passed away in 1997.  He was a retired farmer, and a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, his parents, and 3 sons, Enrique, Augustine, and Navor.
He is survived by 4 sons, Blaz Baez and wife Lydia, Alvaro Baez, and Jose Baez Jr. and wife Elizabeth all of Stamford, and Willie Baez and wife Consuelo of Abilene. 5 daughters, Sallie Fernandez and Margie Fernandez both of Stamford, Janie Woods and husband Daniel and Flora Gonzales and husband Ernest both of Abilene, and Emily Moreno and husband Vince of Fort Worth, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
