John Edward Painschab

John Edward Painschab, 68, of Stamford, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Cremation was selected with no further services planned at this time.

Mr. Painschab was born December 2, 1953, to Leonard and Irene Martha (Pofahl) Painschab. He married Loretta Sue Tidwell on October 24, 1980, in Levelland, TX. The Painschab’s moved to Stamford in 1994 from Albuquerque, NM. John retired from the U.S. Army after which he perused another career working for the postal service before permanently retiring. His leisure time was often spent at the VFW where he enjoyed playing shuffleboard.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Irene, his wife of 23 years Loretta who passed away March 30, 2004, and a brother Lenny Painschab.

Survivors include his children; Jeremy and Sharee Painschab of Stamford, TX, Tim and Michelle Painschab of Maple Lake, MN, Mike Anderson of MO; 2 sister Marie Barth of MO, and Marion Telgram of MN; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
