Douglas Paul Driskill

MSGT Douglas P. Driskill, USAF, Retired, 70, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel (807 S. Columbia St.) with Rev. Dennis Huffaker officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery at Avoca under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.

Douglas Paul Driskill was born January 3, 1947 in Avoca, Texas. He was one of three children born to Paul and Ileta (Shelton) Driskill.

Doug graduated from Avoca High School in 1965 and enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in Viet Nam. After a 21-year career in the USAF he retired and moved to San Angelo, Texas.

Hunting, fishing and being outdoors were enjoyable pass times for Doug. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Ming Romero and husband Cesar of Schertz; son, Derek Driskill and wife Heather of San Angelo, TX; sister Molly Bradshaw and husband Kenneth of Abilene, TX; brother, Jerry Driskill and wife Debra of Wichita Falls, TX; 3 grandchildren, Alexander Paul Driskill of San Angelo, Cesar Romero and Megan Romero both of San Antonio.
