Bernardo Chaires Almendarez

Bernardo Chaires Almendarez, 78, of Stamford, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford officiated by Father Joseph Kurumbel.

Bernardo was born April 16, 1942 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Pedro Claires and Sabina Almendarez. He married Alejandra Garcia and they moved to Texas in 1985 and to Stamford in 1991. Bernardo farmed in the Jones and Taylor county area for many years. He loved working with his livestock. He was a family man who loved his family. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Surviving Bernardo is his wife; Alejandra, 6 children; Guadalupe Chaires, Rosalda Chaires, Francisco Chaires, Norma Chaires, Yadira Chaires, and Alexandra Chaires, 2 brothers; Fidel Chaires and Odilon Chaires, 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
