Amador M Guerrero

Amador Martinez Guerrero died on July 5, 2018, in Abilene, Texas. Amador was born May 1, 1938, to Theodore and Felicita Martinez Guerrero in Stamford, Texas, where he grew up and attended school. He began his working career with a 30-year span of employment with Jones Haskell Grain Co-op before joining Strain Construction, working another 20 years, prior to retiring in 2008. He was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

Amador married Dora Jasso In Stamford, Texas in 1960. To this marriage two children, Danny and Joanne were born. Dora preceded Amador in death in 1983.

In 1985 Amador married Gloria Guerrero. To this union three children were born, Steve, Melissa and Wanda.

Amador was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Guerrero of Abilene, TX; children, Danny Guerrero and wife Adelia of Stamford, Joanne Sites, Steve Guerrero, Melissa Guerrero, and Wanda Guerrero all of Abilene, TX; sisters and brothers, Theodore Guerrero, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX, Yldifonsa Alvarado of Abilene, TX, Maria Gomez of Weatherford, TX, Bessie Rangel, Antonio Gomez and Connie Gonzales all of Stamford, TX; 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

A time of visitation will be Sunday, July 8, 2018 for 12:30 to 4:00 pm at Tankersley Funeral Home – 807 S. Columbia – Stamford, TX 79553. Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 9, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
