Barbara Nell Jenkins

Barbara Nell Jenkins, 70, of Lueders, passed away on Wednesday, 5/5/2010 in Breckenridge, TX.  Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, 5/8/2010 at the Lueders Baptist Church with Mike Westfall and Rev. Larry Archer officiating.  Burial followed at the Rising Sun Cemetery in Jones County under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home in Stamford, TX.
Barbara was born March 28, 1940 in Dallas, TX to Aaron and Amber Archer.  She was raised in Irving and attended Irving High School.  She married M. L. Jenkins in 1956 in Oklahoma and resided in Irving.  She was a foster parent for about 5 years and worked for the Timken Co. for over 26 years as an order analyst, retiring in 1999, when she moved to Lueders to be near her Mother.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Kari McAlister of Lueders, Kimberly Gale and husband David of Grapevine, 1 son, Brannon Jenkins of Hurst, TX, 3 brothers,  Wayne Archer and wife Betty of Irving, Joe Archer and wife Joyce of Alba, TX, Larry Archer and wife Libby of Lueders, 1 sister, Linda Walker of Lueders, 3 grandchildren, Daniel Aaron Gale and Audrey Elizabeth Gale, both of Grapevine, TX, and Laura Elizabeth McAlister of Lueders.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Matthew Jenkins.
