Ruth Louise Mcgary

Ruth L. McGary, 92, of Stamford, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at an Anson hospital.  Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Temple Baptist Church in Stamford with Rev. Jesse Morton officiating.  Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
Ruth was born September 15, 1917 in Stonewall County, Texas to Ralph Dobe and Tressie Irene Robinson.  She attended Old Glory schools and was a lifetime resident of the area.  She married Delma K. McGary in Haskell on August 11, 1935.  He preceded her in death in 1981. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Stamford.
Survivors include 1 daughter:  Dorothy Nicholson and husband Billy Joe of Stamford, 3 sons, Bill McGary and wife Ramona of Mesquite, Richard McGary and wife Peggy of Bangs, and Randall McGary and wife Jimmie of Crowley, 2 sisters, Faye Bell of Lovington, New Mexico and Nancy Gibbs and husband Dan of Waco, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 3 brothers, Gordon Robinson, R. D. Robinson Jr., and James Robinson.
