Bobbie Lou Watters Glenn, 85, of Stamford, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Stamford with Revs. Jacob West and Joe Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 until 7 p.m.
Bobbie was born November 25, 1924 in Crosscut, Texas to Clarence and Beulah Watters. Bobbie was raised and educated in Spur, Texas and graduated Spur High School in the senior class of 1942. She then attended Texas Technological College and married Bill Glenn on July 13, 1946 in Spur. They lived in Spur until 1970 when they moved to Stamford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Survivors include 1 son, Brad Glenn and wife Pam of Granbury, 3 daughters, Carla Cedillo and husband Oscar of Abilene, Sherri Medford and husband Steven of Abilene, and Terri Plumlee and husband Alan of Stamford, 4 grandchildren, Eric Plumlee, Chad Plumlee, Ashley Glenn Snodgrass and husband Russell and Wesley Medford, 2 great grand children, Zane Snodgrass and Zachary Snodgrass. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 56 years.
