Michael Wayne Worley

Michael Wayne Worley, 66, of Lake Stamford, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009. Memorial services will be held Monday, October 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel in Stamford, with Bud Adkins officiating.

Mike was born September 4, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee to Thomas Alton and Willie Bea Worley. He was raised on a farm in Trimm Springs, Tennessee, graduating high school in Santa Fe, Tennessee in 1963. He joined the Air Force and moved to Abilene, Texas at Dyess Air Force Base. He went to Texas State Technical Institute in Waco and graduated in 1976 with an associated degree in Chemistry. He moved to the Stamford area in 2006 from Waco.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Avoy in 2006, and a brother, Buddy Worley.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Misti Conditt and husband Brandon of Taylor, Texas, 1 son, Thomas Worley of Gatesville, Texas, 1 sister, Dera Talley of Russellville, Kentucky, 2 brothers, Benjamin Worley and wife Linda of Franklin, Kentucky, and Terry Worley and wife, Katherine of Florida, 1 granddaughter, Meghan Forbes and a very special friend, Judy Davenport of Lake Stamford.
