Patti Fuqua Roberson

Patti Fuqua Roberson, 54, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the St. John’s United Methodist Church in Stamford with Rev. John Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 until 7 p.m.

Patti was born in Hamlin, TX to James Wayland and Patsy Bagby Fuqua. They moved to Stamford soon after and she was a lifetime resident of the area, graduating Stamford High School in 1972. She married Ken Roberson on July 24, 1976 in Kilgore, Texas. Patti worked at the Stamford Oliver Schools, and was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Stamford Lady Golfers Association.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Roberson of the home, 1 daughter, Sydney White and husband Jason of Abilene, 1 sister, Paula Spitzer and husband Gary of New Braunfels, 1 uncle, Gordon Fuqua and wife Kaki of Weatherford, 1 aunt, Peggy Harvey of Childress, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
