Eugene Edgar Teichelman

Eugene Edgar (Gene) Teichelman, 94, passed away July 21, 2016. He was born to Charlie and Nellie Teichelman on June 3, 1922 at Bunker Hill Community.
With the exception of his service in the Army Air Corps Support Unit in WW II, he lived his entire life within 2 miles of where he was born. He was a lifelong farmer in the Sagerton Community and an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sagerton. He was a member of the Sons of Hermann Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Kay of Sagerton; two sons, Larry and wife Sara of Abilene and Billy and wife Kellye of Stamford; stepchildren, Becky and Mark Cotton and family, Carol and George Zentner and family, Joy and Tommy Cook and family, Roy Nierdieck and family, the Tommy Nierdieck family, Melissa and Dickie Greenwood and family.
He is also survived by grandchildren David Teichelman, Eddie McKissack and wife Stephani, Steven Teichelman, Diane Martinez and husband Ismael, Toby Teichelman and wife Shayla, Amanda Weatherman and husband Chris, Rinnell Yoder and husband Zachary; a sister Berniece Lunn; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by wife Amanda, wife Adela, a daughter Terry Hubbard, five brothers, Anton, Clarence, Jessie, twins Herbert and Gilbert and a stepson, Tommy Nierdieck.
Visitation will be July 24, 2016, from 4-6 p.m. at Tankersley Funeral Home (807 S. Columbia St.) in Stamford. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church in Sagerton with PLM Patsy Quade officiating. Burial following at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
