John Mark White
John Mark White was born October 2, 1952 in Waco, Texas to Henry and Wyonea (Hallenbeck) White. He passed from this life and his struggle with cancer to his eternal home on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Stamford Residence and Rehabilitation Center.
Mark attended school at Hubbard, Texas. He was drafted in 1972 by the Army to serve his country during the Viet Nam War. Mark was employed by automobile shops doing repairs and body work. As a hobby he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends. Mark had a kind caring heart and his philosophy for life the past few years seemed to be: You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone else. Thru his kindness he also brought people to know and accept Jesus into their lives.
Mark is survived by his wife, Rosie Braun White of Burnett, TX; daughter Jennifer Leigh Phillips and husband Kent of Teague, TX; two grandchildren, Cullen Phillips and Rowdy Phillips both of Teague, TX; two sisters, Nettie Grizzle of Jefferson Oregon and Margie Virginia Bickford and husband Joe of DeSoto, TX; one brother, David White and wife Sandra of Stamford, TX; a cousin, Linda Hallenbeck Horn of Eastland, TX and a host of other relatives and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Paul Edward White in 1951 and a brother-in-law, H.B. Grizzle.
Mark will be remembered during a Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Tankersley Funeral Home (807 S. Columbia) Stamford, Texas with Dr. Jacob West officiating. The family will be receiving friends and family during a visitation from 1:00 p.m. till service time at the funeral home.
