Clydean Jeanette Phillips

October 16, 1921 — April 14, 2009

Clydean Jeanette Phillips, 87, of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Stamford with Rev. James McKinnon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Tuxedo under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday April 17, 2009 from 5 until 7 p.m.

Clydean was born October 16, 1921 in Tuxedo, Texas to Clyde and Johnnie Pritchard.  She was a lifetime resident of the area, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union at Calvary Baptist.  Clydean was an L.V.N. in Stamford for over 32 years.  She married H. M. Phillips on June 11, 1938 in Duncan, Oklahoma.

She is survived by 3 sons, Marcus Phillips and wife Virginia of Ennis, Texas, Billy Phillips and wife Mary Dean of Marble Falls, and James Michael Phillips and wife Tobe of Abilene, 2 sisters, Helen Stephens and husband Craig of Stamford, and Cherry Crowley and husand Jerry of Dallas, 2 sisters in law, Ruby Pritchard of Abilene and Jo Ann Pritchard of Tuxedo, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, 2 brothers, Bill Pritchard and Edwin Pritchard, 2 sisters, Jeannie Pritchard and Sharon Pritchard.
