Retha Josephine Vinson

Retha Josephine Vinson was born January 12, 1932 in Jones County Texas to Callie and Willie (Fulgham) Vinson. She passed from this life to her eternal home on Thursday, September 3, 2015. She was 83 years old.
Jo was a lifetime resident of the area. She attended school at Sunnyside in Corinth and Stamford schools. Jo worked for local hospitals and care homes in the food service area.
Preceding Jo in death were her parents, her brother, Carl Vinson, a nephew Kelly Scott Strickland and two brothers-in-law, L C Plumlee and Bill Kelly.
Jo’s memories will be treasured by her 5 sisters: Inez Plumlee of Stamford, Texas, Rosie Buntin and husband Roy Lee of Cedar Park, Texas, Patsy Lee and husband Edward of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Betty Kelly of Haskell, Texas and Linda Rice and husband Ronnie of Andrews, Texas; one sister-in-law Mary Vinson of Austin, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Jo chose cremation services and will be remembered with a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Bethel Cemetery in Funston, Texas with Dr. Jacob West officiating. The arrangements are entrusted to Tankersley Funeral Home.
