Jane Mckeever

Jane Reves McKeever 97, of Stamford passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the St. John’s United Methodist Church in Stamford with Rev. John Erwin officiating. Burial will follow at the Rockdale Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 6 until 7 p.m.
Jane Reves was born July 4, 1917 to Ernest T. and Marie E. Reves. She was raised in the Berryhill community and started school there but graduated from Lockney, Texas. She then attended Hardin Simmons College. Jan met Stanley ‘Mac’ McKeever when she was 5 years old. Mac walked Jane to and from school each day. On November 17, 1940 Jane and Mac were married and to this union 2 children were born. Jane was a member of the St. John’s United Methodist Church in Stamford.
She is survived by 1 son and daughter in law, Keith and De McKeever of Temple, TX, 1 daughter and son in law, Karen and Bill Roberson of Dimmitt, TX, 1 brother and sister in law, Jerry and Linda Reves of Sweetwater, TX, 5 grandchildren, Austin McKeever and wife Danielle, Josh McKeever and wife Missy, Ashley McKeever, Emily Caldwell and husband Brian, and Allison Loehe and husband Jon, 7 great grandchildren, Corrine McKeever, Reese McKeever, Shea McKeever, Lola McKeever, Orden Newton, Ellie Barclay, and Tucker Loehe. Jane was preceded in death her husband of 70 years, Stanley ‘Mac’ McKeever, her parents, 3 brothers, Dave Reves, Frank Reves, and E. T. Reves Jr., 3 sisters, Pauline Sandefur, Naomi Mize, and Grace Mataya, 3 sisters in law, Estle Reves, Barbara Reves, and Jesse Reves, and 3 brothers in law, Pennie Sandefur, Gene Mize and Jack Mataya.
