Bobby Wayne Martin

Bobby Martin, 70, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 in Odessa, Texas. His family will be receiving friends at Tankersley Funeral Home (807 S. Columbia) Stamford, TX from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014. Graveside Services with Naval Military Rites will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Funston Cemetery in the Funston Community with the Rev. Dennis Huffaker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
Bobby Wayne Martin was born November 21, 1943 in Brownfield, Texas to Fred Lee Martin, Sr. and Bertie (Cowley) Martin. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and worked as a general contractor in construction for the Ector County I.S.D. and U.T.P.B. for 11 years.
Survivors include: 2 daughters, Barbara McCarter and husband David of Lueders, TX, Patricia Deann Priest Gage and husband Brent of Lubbock, TX; 3 sons Jim Daniels of Abilene, TX, Billy Joe Daniels of Breckenridge, TX, Byron Wayne Priest of Sundown, TX; 2 brothers, Fred Lee Martin, Jr. of Odessa, TX and Walter D. Martin of Andrews, TX, 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Bobby in death were his parents, 3 brothers, Bill Martin, Ken Martin and Roland Martin; a grandson Casey Ray Martin; a great grandson, Colton Wayne Minshew.
