On Monday, October 13, 2014, Mary Frances Harvey of Stamford, Texas, passed into her Lord and Savior’s loving arms, taking with her the beautiful smile and sweet compassion she shared with all who knew her. She was 78 years old.
Mary Frances Baker was born on July 24, 1936, in Hico, Texas to Ira L. and Ethel E. (Harrod) Baker. She attended school in Stamford and LVN School at the Stamford Memorial Hospital. Mary worked at M-System and Cashway Grocery Stores for 20 years. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include: 4 daughters, Linda Letz and husband Steve, Debra Hopper and husband Steve and Jackie Faircloth and husband Tommy all of Abilene, Texas, Stacy Bristow and husband Brent of Hawley, Texas; 1 brother Lee Baker and wife Sandra of Midland, Texas; 3 sisters, Helen Griffin and husband Jimmy, Shirley Burnham and husband Joe, and Brenda Henderson all of Stamford, Texas; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and a son, Randall Clepper.
Mary’s loved ones will be receiving visitors at Tankersley Funeral Home (807 S. Columbia St.) from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Temple Baptist Church in Stamford with the Rev. Jesse Morton officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Colorado City Cemetery in Colorado City, Texas under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
