Tommy Joe Johnson

Tommy Joe Johnson, 81, of Arlington, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Arlington. Graveside funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Jessie Morton officiating and under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
Tommy was born October 28, 1932 in Aspermont, Texas to Warren and Buna Mae Johnson. He graduated from Stamford High School in 1951. He married Daisy Mildred Jones on February 28, 1953. She preceded him in death in 1998. Tommy worked as an accountant for the Vought Corporation in Grand Prairie for 30 years before retiring in 1990.
He is survived by 1 son Tommy Lee Johnson of Wichita Falls, TX, 1 brother, Curtis Johnson and wife Sylvia of Austin, TX, 5 grandchildren, Kristi Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Adam Johnson, Amanda Johnson, and Megan Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 45 years, and 1 son, Rick Johnson.
