Robert M Garcia

Robert Garcia, 52, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Abilene. Rosary services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Tankersley Funeral Home in Stamford. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Stamford. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Robert was born June 11, 1961 to Jose and Guadalupe Garcia. He was a lifetime resident of Stamford, graduating from Stamford High School in 1980. Robert worked for the Paymaster Gin and was currently an electrician for C I Electric Motor Service in Abilene. Robert spent most of his time working to provide for his family. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and loved to BBQ and participate in the Texas Cowboy Reunion cook-off. Some of his most memorable times were spent with his siblings.  He was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Stamford where he served as a 3rd degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus for the past  22 years.

Surviving Robert are his children, Christopher Garcia of Stamford, Sara Garcia of Houston, and Adam Garcia and wife Terry of Pearsall, TX, 1 granddaughter, Avery Garcia of Pearsall, 2 brothers, Joe Garcia and wife Dolores of Stamford and Margo Martinez and wife Yasmin of San Antonio, TX, 1 sister, Laura Garcia and husband David of Anson and a host of other family and friends.
