Elnora Mae West

Elnora Mae Crowson West, 80, of Stamford and formerly of Lueders, passed away on Saturday, in Stamford. Funeral services conducted by Dr. Robert Wingrove will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel at 807 S. Columbia in Stamford, Texas. Burial will follow at the Clearfork Cemetery in Lueders. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 until 7 p.m.
Elnora was born March 20, 1933 in Shackelford County, Texas to John Edward and Etta Mae Crowson. She was a lifetime resident of the area. Elnora attended school in Lueders and was a member of the Baptist Church. She married R. D. West September 14, 1954 in Haskell, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Survivors include 2 sons, Edward West and wife Nikita of Victoria, Texas and James West and wife Darla of Lueders, Texas, 2 sisters, Wayne Williams of Lueders, Texas and Marilyn McCarter and husband Buford of Lueders, Texas, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years, 1 son, Frank Stevens Jr., 2 sisters, Pat Wilcher and Judy Frazier, and 2 brothers, Edward Crowson and Ruck Crowson.
