Eva Escobedo

Eva Escobedo, 82, a lifelong resident of Stamford, Texas passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father George Roney officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Tankersley Funeral Home, 807 S. Columbia, Stamford, TX.
Eva Cedillo was born October 26, 1931 to Juan and Louisa (Reyes) Cedillo. She went to school in Stamford and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Eva married Julian Escobedo in 1947 in Stamford. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her family and home.
Eva is survived by her husband, Julian Escobedo of Stamford, TX; one son, Daniel Escobedo of Stamford, TX; two daughters, Ida Escobedo of Irving, TX and Doris Escobedo of McKinney, TX; two sisters; Juliana Cedillo of Stamford and Louisa Ochoa of Abilene, TX; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Sammy Escobedo in 1992; three brothers; Paul Cedillo, Henry Cedillo and Pete Cedillo; four sisters Julia Cedillo, Norberta Gomez, Juana Cedillo and Concha Vasquez.
