Nell Frost Hart, 81, of Lueders, TX, passed away at her home north of Lueders on November 23, 2013.
Mrs. Hart was the widow of Griffin Ward Hart, a farmer and cattle rancher, who preceded her in death in 1997. The couple moved to Lueders in 1962 from Eastland, Texas. She was a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and taught school at the Lueders, and then Lueders-Avoca Independent School District for twenty-five years. She loved her job and maintained contact with many of her
Ex-students throughout her life which gave her great pleasure. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved the beauty of nature.
Mrs. Hart was born to Gladys and Snow Frost on May, 25, 1932 in Eastland, TX. Her father was an architectural engineer and designed municipal buildings throughout the state. She had one sibling, Truman Frost, who preceded her in death in 1973.
She married Griffin Ward Hart in January of 1950 and the couple lived and worked in Eastland, TX until moving to Lueders in 1962.
Survivors in include 1 son Samuel Hart of Lueders. 1 daughter, Tamara Royal of Belton, TX. Four grandchildren, Zane and Zachary Hart of Lueders, TX and Holly Hailey and Steffany Royal of Temple, TX. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffrey Trotter, of Stamford.
Mrs. Hart loved her community and her family expresses gratitude to all those who were so loving and caring over the past few years.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the St. John’s United Methodist Church in Stamford, TX. With Rev. Dennis Huffaker officiating. Burial at the side of her husband will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Corinth Cemetery in Eastland County.
