Evelyn Larue Moore

Evelyn LaRue “Rue”Moore, 86, of Stamford passed away at Community Care Center, Sunday, February 17, 2013. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jessie Morton officiating. Burial will follow at the Clear Fork Cemetery in Lueders.
Evelyn LaRue Pope was born June 11, 1926 in Lueders, Texas to Clifford and Effie Mae (Ham) Pope. Rue married William Moore October 16, 1948 at Lueders, Texas. William preceded her in death on April 11, 2006. Rue was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by her close friend and neighbor, John Malone of Stamford, and several cousins.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, 1 daughter, Karen Jean Moore and 1 sister, Meddie Stevens.
