Celia "Sylvia" Escobedo

Celia "Sylvia" Escobedo, 53, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Abilene. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Orient Street Church of Christ with Tony Nauert officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford.
Sylvia was born March 14, 1959 in Stamford to Euligio and Isadora Guerrero. She was a lifetime resident of the area. She married Daniel Escobedo on May 1, 1998. Sylvia is survived by her husband Daniel Escobedo of Stamford, her father, Euligio Guerrero of Lubbock, 2 daughters, Patricia Marie Guerrero, Lesly Leann Rodriguez, and 1 daughter in law, Shantel Tiger, all of Stamford. 1 son, Dwayne Rodriguez Jr. and wife Davina, of Abilene, 3 brothers, Freddie Guerrero and Rudy Guerrero, both of Abilene, and Michael Guerrero of Mansfield, TX, 2 step sons, David John Escobedo and Eugene Escobedo, both of Stamford, and 1 step daughter, Stephanie Escobedo of Wichita Falls, 7 sisters, Barbara Perez of Lubbock, Helen Ortiz of Clovis, New Mexico, Nancy Sandoval of Abilene, Valerie Rodriguez of Fort Worth, Matilda Guerrero of Clovis, New Mexico, Maggie Gonzales of Clovis, New Mexico, and Rachel Guerrero of Stamford, 10 grandchildren, Jessie Ramos Jr., Garrett Ramos, Austin Ramos, Ian Tiger, Marc Cedillo, Aric Cedillo, Nathan Escobedo, Michalea Escobedo, Chance Escobedo and Danielle Escobedo.
