Marcello Gomez Jr.

Marcello Gomez Jr., 44, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Rosary services will be said at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Tankersley Funeral Home in Stamford. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Stamford with Father George Roney officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Marcello was born September 18, 1967 in Stamford to Marcello Sr. and Frances Gomez. He was raised and educated in Stamford, graduating Stamford High School in 1987. He then moved to Fort Worth and started his own trucking company. He moved back to Stamford in 2006 and continued with his trucking career for the remainder of his life. He was a loving and devoted father to two wonderful children and a loving son, brother, and uncle. Marcello was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Stamford.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Gomez of Stamford, 1 son, Marcello Gomez III, and Elizabeth Ann Gomez both of Fort Worth, 1 sister, Rosie Navarrette and husband Tommy of Kerrville, TX, 3 brothers, Maurice Gomez and wife Rhonda of Sweetwater, Tony Gomez and Alfred Gomez, both of Stamford, numerous aunts, uncles,cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father.
