Berniece Wendeborn

Berniece Lois Wendeborn, 81, of Haskell and formerly of Old Glory, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Haskell. Graveside funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Old Glory Cemetery with Rev. James Brigham officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 6 until 7 p.m.
Berniece was born in Steeles Tavern, Virginia on February 27, 1931 to Alfred and Alberta Morrison. She was raised in the area and attended school in Steeles Tavern. She married Billie Edward Wendeborn on May 13, 1950 in Leaksville, North Carolina. The couple then moved to Old Glory, Texas. Berniece worked at several nursing homes in the area including Stamford and Aspermont where she was a cook. She also worked at the Russell Newman Manufacturing Co. for many years.
She is survived by 1 daughter and son in law, Kathy Teichelman and husband Jimmy of Sagerton, 1 son, Ronnie Wendeborn of Prosper, TX, 2 sisters, Lucille Mueller of Stamford and Ruth Cox and husband Carl of Vesuvius, VA, 2 grand sons, Greg Teichelman and wife Christy and Chad Teichelman and wife Amy, and 4 great grandchildren, Dax Teichelman, Brooke Teichelman, Jake Teichelman, and Hunter Teichelman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, 1 daughter, Carol Ann Wendeborn, 4 brothers, Carl Morrison, Thomas Morrison, Harold Morrison and Alfred Morrison Jr., and 3 sisters, Katherine Roberts, Elizabeth Mayo, and Rebecca Morrison.
