Wesley Shane Lindsey

Shane Lindsey, 40, of Stamford, passed away, Saturday, December 3, 2011 in Midland. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Stamford with Dr. Robert Wingrove officiating. Burial will be at the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 5 until 7 p.m.
Shane was born September 21, 1971 in Stamford to Hollis and Caron Lindsey Cantu. He was raised in Stamford and graduated Stamford High School in 1991 and then attended Lincoln Tech in Arlington, Texas, where he graduated with Directors honors. He worked as a fleet analyst for the City of Abilene for several years before beginning his current occupation as a crane operator with Marks Crane Service in Odessa, TX. Shane loved the great outdoors and working on cars. He never met a stranger, a friend to all. His special love was for his children and family.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Caron and Carlos Cantu of Stamford, 3 children, Ashley Lindsey of Abilene, Branson Lindsey of Odessa, and Hunter Lindsey of Anson, 1 brother, Cody Lindsey and wife Rebecca of Odessa, TX, 2 half-brothers, Josh Lindsey and wife Casey of Aspermont, and John Armstrong of Dickinson, TX, 1 half-sister, Sue Shaw and husband Pat of Brenham, TX, and many nieces and nephews and other family.
