Thomas Charles Nierdieck

Thomas Charles Nierdieck, 65, of Bryan, Texas passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Faith Lutheran Church in Sagerton, TX, with Parish Ministers Dean and Patsy Quade officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford. The family will be receiving friends at Tankersley Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tommy was born September 21, 1946 in Stamford to Herbert and Adela Nierdieck of Sagerton. Tommy graduated from Stamford High School and went onto obtain his degree from Texas A&M graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Tommy was dedicated to everything Aggie, especially the football team, and he actively played softball and basketball his entire life. He was recently retired, after an over forty year career in finance and insurance, during which he was known to be hard working, dedicated, and fair as employee, boss, and customer servant. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp.

Survivors include his son Mickey, wife Tiffany and their son Caleb; daughter Sheila Wagner, husband Michael and children Brookelyn, Evan and Griffin; sister Joy Cook and husband Tommy (TAMU Class of ’71); brother Roy Nierdieck (TAMU Class of ’84) and wife Elizabeth; sister Melissa Greenwood and husband Dickie; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Larry Kokemoor, Harold Lee Bredthauer, Benny Bredthauer, Billy Teichelman, Larry Teichelman, Clifford Riewe, Victor Riewe, and Jimmy Cook.
