Max Lopez

Max Lopez, 80, of Abilene and formerly of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in an Abilene nursing home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Stamford with Father George Roney officiating. Rosary services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel.

Max was born January 11, 1931 in Rotan, TX to Manual and Maria Lopez. He moved to Stamford as a child and attended school in Stamford. He was a member of the ST. Ann's Catholic Church.

Survivors include 3 brothers, Joe Lopez of Abilene, Arthur Lopez and wife Mary of Fort Worth, Frank Martinez and wife Sophia of Salina, Kansas, 5 sisters, Mary Reyna and husband Jessie of Rochester, Argentina Longoria and husband Joe of Stamford, Dina Beltran and husband Joe of Stamford, Tina Gomez of Stamford, and Helen Lopez of Haskell.
