Winnie Langford, 87, of Stamford, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Stamford Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, September 23rd from 6 to 7 P.M. at Tankersley Funeral Home, 807 S. Columbia. Funeral Services will be 10 AM Saturday, September 24th at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Wes Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
Winnie was born September 9, 1924 to A. H. and Jessie (Vick) Clem at Bogata, TX. She moved to Stamford as a teenager. On April 15, 1944, she married J.B. Snow in Anson, TX. Following the death of her husband in 1951, Winnie moved to 406 E. Campbell where she resided for 24 years. She worked at the City Pig Café, Snow White Laundry, Bunkley Drug and Russell Newman Factory. In 1975, Winnie moved to Andrews, TX and went to work as a cook for the hospital and school. She later worked for Andrews Cleaners until her retirement in 1989. She moved to Lubbock, TX with her daughter, Yvonne until 2009 when she returned to Stamford to reside at Community Care Center.
Winnie was survived by her two sons, Ken Snow and wife Allen of Decatur, TX, Glenn Snow of Stamford, TX and one daughter Yvonne Ratliff of Wink, TX; 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ollie, Alga, Jr., C.B. and Alton Clem, six sisters, Vestle, Era, Bea, Lucille, Edith and Estelle; her husband, J.B. Snow; and one grandson Cary Snow.
