Rodger Dale Jones

Rodger Dale Jones, 62, of Stamford and formerly of Midland, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at his home.
Rodger was born October 20, 1948 in Hereford, TX to Alva Alan “Casey” and Hazel Hill Jones. He attended Hamlin Schools and married Donna Marie Gann on October 24, 1966. He worked in the oil field for over 45 years for numerous companies including, Hamtex in Hamlin, Watson Packer Co. of Abilene and Merit Energy of Midland where he retired after 20 years.
Survivors include his wife Donna Jones of Stamford, 2 sons, Rickie D. Jones and Raymond A. Jones both of Midland, 2 granddaughters. 1 brother, Bobby Jones and wife Janie of Hamlin and 2 sisters, Mildred Walton of Lubbock and Molly Cook of Breckenridge, 2 sisters in law, Cynthia Besecker, and Norma Joy Smart and 1 brother in law, Sidney Gann, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Avoca Baptist Church in Avoca, TX In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Palmer Drug Abuse Program “pdap”, 1208 West Wall St., Midland, TX 79701
