David Villanueva

David Villanueva, 45, of Tuxedo, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Abilene. Rosary services were said at 7 p.m. Sunday, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hamlin. Funeral Mass will began 10:00 a.m. Monday and burial with military rites will follow at the Neinda Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
David was born March 23, 1966 in Hamlin to Jose and Benigna Villanueva. He was raised in the Hamlin, Tuxedo, and Stamford areas. He graduated Stamford High School in 1985. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1988 and spent the next twenty years in the service, retiring in 2008. David was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hamlin.
Survivors include his mother, Benigna Villanueva of Tuxedo, his paternal grandmother, Tomasa Villanueva of Stamford, three brothers, Gilbert Villanueva of El Paso, TX, Martin Villanueva and wife Veronica of Dallas, TX, and Joe Villanueva and wife Joan of Killeen, TX, and a host of other relatives, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather, and 1 sister Jo Ann Villanueva.
Serving as pallbearers were Gilbert Villanueva, Joe Villanueva, Martin Villanueva, Pete Munoz Jr., Andrew Munoz, and Billy John Villanueva.
