Regina Miller

Regina Miller, 93, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Stamford. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Stamford with Rev. Larry Archer officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m.
Regina was born December 28, 1917 in Potosi, TX to J. Frank and Nora Bell Hollingshead Miller. Longtime residents of the Potosi area, the Nora Miller Road was named after her mother. Regina graduated Potosi high school in 1936 as the Valedictorian. Later that same year she married Jessie Clinton Miller in Potosi. Jessie and Regina moved to Stamford in 1943, where they lived the rest of their lives. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and taught the junior boys and girls Sunday School class for many years.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Sue Gilbreath and husband Garland of Stamford, 3 sons, Mike Miller and wife Margaret of Stamford, Lanny Miller and wife Sandra of Abilene, Andy Miller and wife Mary Nelle of Artesia, New Mexico, 10 grandchildren, Gary Miller and wife Jenny, Ricky Miller and wife Terri, Billy Gilbreath and wife Jessa, Keith Gilbreath and wife Frances, Karen Wolsch and husband Jamie, Kelli Mowery and husband Steve, Dianne Amador and husband Keith, Melissa Goodrich and husband Craig, Josh Miller and Mark Miller, 19 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, 1 grand son, Dennis Ray Miller, 2 sisters, Thelma Mae (Dot) Smith, and Sarah Ruth Miller, and 1 brother, Otis Frank Miller.
